Edith Gatlin Hofmann CHARLESTON - Edith Gatlin Hofmann, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Fred J. Hofmann, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 13, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 in St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 200 South Goose Creek Boulevard at 1:30 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. Edith was born January 16, 1930 in Macedonia, South Carolina, daughter of the late John Gatlin and Annie Guerry Gatlin. She was a homemaker and member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Goose Creek. She is survived by her husband, Fred Hofmann of Charleston; two daughters, Sheila Black Gaither (William) of Goose Creek, Barbara H. Armes (Jerry) of MacClenny, FL; a sister, Melba G. Graves of Macedonia, SC; a sister-in-law, Grace Smith (Farrow) of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorials may be made in memory of Edith to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 807, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
