Mrs Gregg was the best teacher I ever had. I will miss her greatly !!!

Mary and Walt, I just learned of your Mom's passing. She was such a nice lady, and you all were such wonderful neighbors. I so enjoyed watching the video and seeing your beautiful families. Daddy passed almost 12 years ago, and Mama left us almost 8 years ago. It seems like just a few years ago that you all were right across the street. Please know I am keeping you all in my prayers. To the family & friends of Mrs. Gregg my deepest sympathy. I was a student at Chicora High School when Miss Bikle & Mister Gregg ( he was my shop class teacher & I still have a table he helped me repair ) were teachers & I remember when they were married, they were a great couple. Rest in peace.

It is so sad to hear about the loss of Ms Gregg, but I hope and pray that God will strengthen and comfort your hearts. God always picks the best roses, and truly got one now, with much love, May God continue to bless you and your families with lots of memories, she will be missed, but never forgotten.

My sister Betsy Rackoff and I agree that Mrs. Gregg was the best math teacher we ever had, and that's saying a lot, since we attended many schools including Middleton. She taught more than math, of course. May light perpetual shine upon her.

Mrs. Gregg, you were such an inspiration!! You were such a great teacher, I remember doing teacher/student switch day in both of my algebrae classes I had with you. You were such a blessing, as you would always take time to make sure your students were learning. You will always be remembered for your love of teaching and your kindness! Heaven has truly gained another angel. RIP

I was sorry to learn of Edie's passing. I hold a special place in my heart for this beautiful couple...first Boyd as my elementary school principal at Brentwood, and secondly as a trusted and respected colleague of Edie's at Middleton High School. My hope that they will live on in the hearts and minds of those whose lives they touched.

Our most sincere condolences at the loss of your mother! What a wonderful person she was, so much fun and such a mentor to so many of us who were her students at Chicora High School! She was the glue that held our group together when we were all able to meet in Wilmington at Joyce's beach place. What fun we all had, everyone talking at one time and still able to hear each other. It breaks my heart that our Golden Girls will never have another beach trip with our dear Edie!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom, Walt. May the memories you share bring you and your family comfort.

Edie was so full of life, and she passed that feeling on to her family and all who knew her. She will be missed so very much, but we all know that she is now with the love of her life, Boyd Gregg. And she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she served so faithfully here on earth. We will all miss you, Edie. May God bless you now and forever. Mrs. Gregg's method of teaching algebra was direct, effective, and generally funny. She was a wit and a was full of wisdom. Looking back, I thoroughly enjoyed her and learned it well, once I was a couple of years removed from high school! I know she'll be missed. She was a force! I hope you retain only good memories.
