Earlda Blazer-Kerr Obituary

Earlda Findley Blazer-Kerr BEACON HILL, FL - Earlda Findley Blazer-Kerr, age 67, of Beacon Hill, Florida died February 27, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her husband, Hoyle Kerr; two daughters, Nancy Ward of Beaufort, SC and LeAnne Blackman of Scotts Ferry, FL. She was known as "Gigi" to her two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Camryn Blackman. Earlda is preceded in death by her father, Hillary Wilson Findley; mother, Mary Belle Findley; brother, Jimmy Findley and sister, Nancy Rebecca Finley. Earlda was born on September 11, 1947 and grew up in Damascus, AL. She graduated from W.S. Neal High School in 1965. She went to college at the University of Montevallo. Earlda and her family moved to Dothan, AL as she pursued her career in the trucking industry with AAA Cooper Transportation. She remained in the trucking industry to finally end up with Covan Moving Company until she retired due to health. She married Hoyle Kerr in 2000 and moved to Mexico Beach/Beacon Hill area. She was a lifelong Auburn Fan and was appropriately nicknamed "Tigress." Earlda enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family, both near and far. She had taken up sewing recently, and loved to make gifts for others. She loved people and never met a stranger wherever she was. She will be greatly missed by many friends and family. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday afternoon March 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas White officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery, Brewton, Alabama with WILLIAMS MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME OF BREWTON, ALABAMA DIRECTING. Everyone is invited back to the Church after the services for fellowship.
