Dear Eloise,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your Dad. As we both know the healing process is a slow one. I am sorry this note comes so late, but I just learned of your Dad's passing. Please share my condolences with your mother and your family. I did enjoy seeing you so much at the reunion. I hope to stay in touch with you. My husband's parents have moved in with us in May. I hope you received my birthday wishes.
Take good care, Diane Fink Friedman

I am Earl's second cousin. I have known him since the early 1950s. I've got a few pictures of him through time. I'll post some of the early slides my dad took once I scan them.

Lilly,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I learned a great deal from Earl at NDH and I am indebted to the opportunities that he gave me as a young engineer to work on special projects in Engineering and then move into Management. I remember returning from vacation on August 18, 1980 and Earl called me into his office. We had suspected that he might be retiring. He began by telling me that it was great that people could advance from his department to new opportunities. He then told me that he was retiring and Joe Dobek was taking his job and I was taking Joe's position. Earl's retirement had started the chain of events. I have included a photo from a very happy day in April 1980 of Earl and youself and Joe and Phyllis Kappes at our wedding. Lilly, again I express my heartfelt sympathy to you and this great loss to all of us.

Dear Aunt Lil, Pam and Marigrace, We'll all miss Uncle Earl. He was a warm and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. I remember all of our Thanksgiving dinners together, starting from the time I was a little girl up to recent times with my own daughters. Lots of love to everyone, Sharman, Abby, and Andy
