Duane Jensen Obituary

Duane Carl Jensen, Sr. Ladson - Duane Carl Jensen, Sr., 90, of Ladson, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at home. A funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Jensen will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, Monday May 30, 2022, at Stuhr Northwoods Chapel from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. He was born in Elroy, WI, on April 11, 1932. He attended St. James United Methodist Church for many years. Duane loved doing wood working, coin collecting and taking care of the birds. But his biggest love was his family. Family was everything to him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Elaine Jensen, of 65 years; his parents, Carl James Jensen and Gladys Lucille Koch Jensen Hillyer; his brother, James Robert Jensen (Charlotte); sister, Lucille Ramona Jensen Beckmann, all from Muscatine, IA. He is survived by his children, Duane C. Jensen Jr. and Terry Waters (Herb) of Ladson, SC; grandchildren, Duane C. Jensen III "AKA Tre" (Beth) of Abilene, TX, Chad G. Waters (Allison); great-grandchildren, Cooper D. and Charlie C. Jensen; sisters: Carla Dunnahoo of West Liberty, IA, Kathie Simpson of Des Moines, IA and Shirley Hillyer of Nichols IA. Duane joined the Air Force at the age of 17 and did 22 years. When he retired, he worked for Darby Construction prior to starting his own construction company in 1980.
