I think about Drew from time to time and my heart is still broken. I will always remember him as someone who had a plan to succeed. I bought him a book about Warren Buffett’s life when he was in middle school because he reminded me of someone that was destined to reach the top! No doubt we missed a chance to see a great Life lived. Rest In Peace Drew we love you!!

Some of my earliest and favorite memories are of the times I shared with our wonderful friend Drew. From a young age being in the car and visiting Hassie for the paper with our nanny, to some great times at the College of Charleston becoming young men together. Before middle school, the Guffeys left for Germany and I was pretty devastated by my best friend being gone, but when he finally returned after high school, it was as if he never left. He fit right back in with our friend group at The College and had transformed into the incredibly charming and handsome man we all knew and loved. Drew was like water and could comfortably adapt to any situation; at a party or at class, he was always relaxed and in his element. I will absolutely cherish the memories and discoveries I made with Drew and our mutual friends. Troy and Shannon, Robert and Susan, Grace - my heart aches for your families and I pray for you all in these trying times. I know in my bones that Drew has entered God's kingdom and has been delivered from the chaos that is this Earth. I am so sad to lose such a close friend, but I know he is looking down on us and will watch over us. Say hello to Russell for me. Love you buddy.
