Mr. Dozier was very kind and just great to be around. I grew up in Pamplico and had the priviledge of being good friends with Heidi. He will be missed but we'll see him one day again in heaven.

Our family will always remember Dozier with a great deal of friendship and respect. Meeting him back in the early 80's, he brought to our friendship the love he had for Pamplico and its people. He made us feel like it was our home, too. He told us many stories of the town, history and its people. He was so proud of all the accomplishments that he was instrumental in achieving. He introduced the ex-French Foreign Legionnaire and his Yankee wife to small town living. We enjoyed many adventures in hiking, hunting, literature and fine cuisine. We enjoyed Dozier's great sense of humor and spirit of adventure. Dozier spent hours pursing the many cookbooks in our home. Finding just the right recipe. We did introduce him to soyburgers, and being a gentleman, he said he enjoyed them. But, hmmmm, I'll always wonder. Dozier being an intellectual, would in all probably enjoy the following poem dedicated to him: "The Changes and transitions that occur in the experience of the soul at the moment of its passing, must be extraordinary and mysterious. To have the companionship and guidance of angels at such a time is a gift of great comfort and peace." (David Connolly).
Pamplico will miss their "Big Stone in a Small Pond", as he so fondly referred to himself.
Good bye dear friend, and see you later. Bev and Alex Tergeoglou

God Bless the Munn family. Mayor Munn treated me like one of Pamplico's own and as a part of the Munn family as we developed the Pamplico Theater. He will be missed.

Dozier Munn exhibited throughout his life his love for his family, Pamplico and Florence County. He always gave of himself for the things he loved. He has been a friend of mine for many years and I have always enjoyed working with him on various projects for Pamplico. Mayor Munn will be tremendously miss by his friends, family and the people of Pamplico. He was a true advocate for Florence County. I will miss my friend Dozier. My sympathy goes out to Shirley and his entire family.
Sincerely
Moot Truluck
