Doyle Stepp Obituary

Doyle "Gene" Stepp Sanford, NC - Doyle "Gene" Stepp, 61, of Sanford, NC, husband of Vicki Sue Darfler Stepp, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29406. Due to COVID please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Flowers will be accepted. Gene was born on June 3, 1960, in Charleston, SC, son of Doyle G. Stepp and wife, Loucile Cotney Stepp, of Brunswick, GA, and the late Mary Killion Kirlin. He enjoyed golfing. He was a handyman at heart and loved working outside at his new house and his yard. Survivors in addition to his wife, Vicki, are: three sons: Tim Bankich (Carrie) of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris Bankich (Sarah) of New York, and Carl Wiggins (Nickie) of Morgantown, WV; three grandchildren: Andrew, Alex, and Benny; eight siblings: David Stepp (Wanda), Christine Stepp McMillan (John), Cindy Stepp Parker, Jacks Kirlin (Donna), Jim Kirlin (Heather), Donna Manning, Joni Stratton (Mike), and Keith Jones; two uncles: Carlton Killion and Bruce Killion; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
