Douglas "Mac" McAlister Morris, Jr. CROSS, SC - Douglas "Mac" McAlister Morris, Jr., 79, of Cross, husband of Patricia Miller Morris, passed away February 20, 2021. Douglas was born December 3, 1941 in Berkeley County, son of Douglas M. Morris, Sr. and Mariam Bailey Morris. A devoted husband and family man, Mac loved his wife and family. He was a non-judgemental person who was always happy and full of life. He was also quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Mac had been employed as a construction manager. His Happy Place was the Lake House. He was a huge Gamecock fan and was a Gamecock Club member. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Theressa Varner of Mt. Pleasant, Elizabeth "Betsy" Frazier of Charleston, Heather Mrtel and her husband, Eric of Mt. Pleasant, a brother, Dan Morris and his wife, Mickey, of Lebanon, five grandchildren, Shawn Varner, Caitlyn Varner, Tyler Varner, Hadley Martel and Taylor Martel. His funeral service will be held at the Mocks Corner Pentacostal Church Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 1 o'clock. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 o'clock until the time of service. sending prayers of peace for family.
sadly I never met Mac, but knowing Pat I am sure he was the best. Pat´s yearbook said she had a friendly heart, I am sure Mac had the same .
