He and Sharon were my grandfathers neighbours in Colchester, ON and they gave me my first Gordon Lightfoot album. Lady and Charlie were my first experience with dogs and what a wonderful time we had. Louise Miller

Thank you so much everyone. I know it´s 10 years later but somehow I´m only now just seeing these. We were and are blessed by you all and still are thankful for dad´s legacy of his `later in life´ faith and passion for living by God´s grace. He would tell you it´s never too late. I´m sitting here on a Sunday Morning in ever so busy December, feeling ever so thankful that he always insisted and modeled being closed on Sundays in business and having family time. He´d say it was the Lord´s Day and a rest day (although rest often meant sailing or flying somewhere with fam and friends or someone he heard was having a rough time and could use an adventure. "The world doesn´t need another shopping day". So we have continued that in our business - if we hadn´t I think we would have gone crazy. And although some people think we´re crazy (fitting as we´re daughters of the Madman ;) ) so many more thank us for not being tied to commercialism and putting family and faith first. We´re so grateful for all we have. Thanks dad for this restful morning after one of the busiest weeks of our lives.
So remember to rest. Dad was always a Work hard, play hard, and rest well guy.
Bless you all.

Our condolences to all of Doug's family. I have a lot of fond memories of Doug over the years beginning with my working days at his TV Store in Chatham after my U of Windsor classes and Saturdays with Doug and Marcel Desjardins. I worked with all three McKay's TV brothers and we had a great time. I met with Doug's brother Jeff three months ago and learned of Doug's failing health. Sending our prayers for the whole family.
