Dorothy Waples Obituary

Dorothy Sanford Waples HANAHAN - Dorothy "Dot Dot" Sanford Waples, 92, of Hanahan, passed away December 28, 2012, at a local hospital. Mrs. Waples was born April 4, 1920, in Orangeburg, SC. She was the daughter of the late Marion Sanford and Lessie Garrick Sanford. She was a retired inspector for a manufacturing company. Mrs. Waples was a member of Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC. Survived by two daughters; Louise Cox and husband Charles of Hanahan, Sandy Smith and husband Dan of Moncks Corner, a grandson Kevin Cox and wife Janet of Hanahan, SC, three great granddaughters Keri, Chelsea and Ashley Cox of Hanahan, a sister Junelle Von Ohsen of Summerville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2012, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Sunday December 30, 3012, at 3:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
