Dorothy Evelyn "Dot" Stanley Platts BRUNSON, SC - Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn "Dot" Stanley Platts, wife of the late William David "Willie" Platts, of Brunson, SC, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Colleton Medical Center. Born August 9, 1922 in Hampton County, she was the daughter of the late Wilder Stanley and Eliza Youmans Stanley. Mrs. Platts retired from the Harter Nursing Home in Fairfax as an LPN. She and her husband also ran the Platts Flower Shop and the W. D. Food Store in Brunson. She was also a member of the Brunson Baptist Church. She is survived by two grandsons: David Platts of Summerville and Chris Platts of Prosperity; two granddaughters: Robin and DeVona Platts, both of North Charleston. Mrs. Platts was predeceased by two sons, Don and Gene Platts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. R.P. Hodge. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
