Dorothy (Dot, Nursie) was part of my family longer than anyone. Her laugh and her smile will not fade while I have memory. I was six when she came into my life; now I am seventy.

One of the most important people in my life between ages six and now that I am seventy. Her cooking (especially her fried chicken) nourished wonderfully, but that was not what made her smile and laughter transformative.
