Dorothy Hurst Obituary

Dorothy Rourk Ritter Hurst GOOSE CREEK - Dorothy Rourk Ritter Hurst, 93, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of the late Robert Hurst, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2017. She was born on June 20, 1923 in Charleston, South Carolina to Thomas and Gussie (Walling ) Rourk. Mrs. Hurst was a member of Northwood Church and was a Retired Supervisor of the Charleston Manufacturing Company. Dorothy is survived by her children, Charles E. Ritter, Jr. (Sandra), Harry M. Ritter (Jeanette), Brenda D. Cleaver (Richard), and Patricia A. Cox (Harvey); Sister, Betty Saulisbury; and many beloved grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her thirteen siblings. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Northwood Church (2600 N. Main St., Summerville, SC 29483) at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Flowers or donations to Northwood Church Building Fund will be accepted.
