FILIPIAK, Dorothy Dorothy Alice "Dotty" Filipiak, 79, of Ladson, wife of Henry Felix Filipiak, died Tuesday morning, April 14, 2009 at her residence. Cryptside service will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 10 o'clock at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 17, Moncks Corner. Friends may visit at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o'clock this evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dotty was born May 11, 1929 in New York City, New York, daughter of the late Louigi Faggiono and Mary Getz Faggioni. She attended schools in New York and New Jersey. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, arts and crafts. She retired from Cummins and attended Cathedral of Praise and Peace Lutheran. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons and one daughter, Gary W. Filipiak of Summerville, Judy Filipiak of Ladson, Henry L. Filipiak of Summerville and Robert C. Filipiak of North Charleston; grandchildren, Thomas, Tracy, Robin, Richard, Rachel, Gary, Fred, Gina, Danielle, Dominic, Frank, Spencer, Erica, Robert, Brittany, Charles, Cyle and Amber; and six great-grandchildren.
