Dorothy Jean Carlisle Dozier Charleston - Dorothy Jean Carlisle Dozier, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Michael James Dozier, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Northbridge Baptist Church, 1160 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia, SC, at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. Dorothy was born April 11, 1938 in Calhoun Falls, SC. She was the daughter of the late Ozie Mel Carlisle and Pearl Hicks Carlisle. She was a retired Banking Administrative Assistant. Dorothy loved her family, everyone at Northbridge Baptist Church, loved reading the Bible and was an avid shag dancer. She is survived by her son, Kerry Pate of Charleston, SC; daughter, Cappi Wilborn Harrell (Andrew) of Bluffton, SC; two grandchildren, Jim Wilborn, and David Wilborn; brother, Pete Carlisle (Betty) of Houston TX; niece, Lawanda Stewart and several nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael James Dozier; parents; and sister, Shirley Carlisle Stewart.
