My deepest sympathies to the children and family of Mrs Ariail. She was my art teacher for all four years of high school1967-1970, a great encouragement to me all those years-she believed in me. I thank her for all of her instruction in art and believing in myself. She was the best! God bless you and give you rest!

Ever soft spoken, always gentle, Dot was endlessly kind. I was fortunate enough to have been a colleague at Fort Johnson/ James Island High where I observed her skills. She was a gifted artist and a compassionate soul. May her memories forever comfort and inspire you.

So deeply sorry to read of Mrs. Ariail´s passing. She taught me in the 5th grade at First Baptist Church School on John´s Island. Also, she was my distant cousin. Know I have your family in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless.

I was sorry to hear of Mrs. Ariail's passing. She was my art teacher at James Island High School in either 1968 and/or 1969 and I've never forgotten her. I really enjoyed her classes. She took some of us on a 'field' trip to meet Ann Worsham Richardson at home, which was a thrill.
Mrs. Ariail was always encouraging us to look at the world with an artist's eye.

Many years ago I met Dot when she had the gallery and gave art lessons on James Island. I took drawing lessons from her and she was wonderful. She was sweet and lovely and so very patient with me. I've thought of her often in these years. I pray I will see her again in heaven.
