Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Eleven O'clock. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J . Doris was born in Charleston, SC, September 7, 1935, the daughter of Julius Lewell Grimes and Mary Edna Elizabeth Blakely Grimes. She was a member of Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church, where she attended Sunday School class and was a member of the Senior Adult Choir. She was a member of the Home Makers of America and The Red Hat Society. Surviving are 6 sons, Thomas L. Darling, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Ricky Wayne Darling of Goose Creek, SC, Jeffrey G. Darling of Stockbridge, GA., Stephan Darling of Charleston, SC, Brian Keith Darling of North Charleston, SC, and Gerald Alan Darling, Sr. of Tignall, Ga.; 5 sisters, Betty Carrigg of North Charleston, SC, Patricia Davis of Yonges Island, SC, Amanda Johnson of Minnotoko, MN, Linda Tisdale of Kingstree, SC, and Mary Conway of North Charleston, SC; 15 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2014 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29407.
