Donna Holliday Obituary

Donna Holliday GOOSE CREEK - Donna May Corcoran Bliss Holliday, 69, of Goose Creek, wife of Donald Walter Holliday, Sr., passed away July 19, 2011. Born in Jamestown, NY, she was the daughter of the late F. Paul and Catherine Heath Corcoran. She gave herself to the Lord in 1970 at Riverbend Baptist Church and joined Trident Baptist Church and her beloved Pastor, Dr. Michael T. Haynes, Sr. in 1987. Mrs. Holliday was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caregiver to many other children. She enjoyed bowling, lighthouses, taking pictures and loved children. She was a member of Trident Baptist Church in Goose Creek, where she volunteered in the church nursery. Mrs. Holliday is survived by her husband Donald W. Doc Holliday, Sr., five sons: Kevin Bliss and wife Paula of North Charleston, Randy Bliss and wife Gwen of Arizona, Shawn Bliss and wife Stacey of Texas, Matthew Bliss and wife Kim and Donnie Holliday both of Goose Creek; three daughters: Karen Bliss-Reid and husband Greg of New York, Tammy Holliday Ybarra and husband Jesse of Kansas and Kelley Holliday Shuler and husband Jerome of Goose Creek; one brother and one sister, Dave Corcoran and Shirley Blizzard, both of New York. She is also survived by twenty six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 6:30 until 8:30pm in Trident Baptist Church, 100 Montague Plantation Road, Goose Creek. Funeral service will be Friday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00am in Trident Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. Memorial contributions may be made to Trident Baptist Church Nursery Fund or Building Fund, 100 Montague Plantation Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445. For online condolences, visit www.mcalister-smith.com. Thank you to all who had made my moms end of life passing a beautiful and inspiring journey. She was very happy with the time she had with us. The encouraging words,the wonderful food was a comfort to us in our time of needs.Thank you for caring for us. The staff of Hospice of Mt. Pleasant thank you ! My mom wanted me to thank you for your care and compassion. She was so happy having her spa tub bubble bath.Queen for the day she was. what a experience she had.
