Donald Frazier Turner SUMMERVILLE - Donald Frazier Turner, 89, of Summerville, South Carolina, husband of Virginia "Marlene" Butler Turner, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 5, 2025. His Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 in Miles Road Baptist Church, 816 Miles Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the church Monday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Donald was born July 16, 1935 in Florence, South Carolina, son of the late Curvin W. Turner and Mary Haselden Turner. He attended The Citadel and the University of South Carolina. Don served in the U.S. Navy for five years and went on to work at the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 33 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather "Bop Bop" and great-grandfather. Don is survived by his wife of 68 1/2 years, Marlene; his three daughters: Angela Ehlers (Henry) of Charleston, SC, Judith Whitt (John) of Summerville, SC and Donna Cantrell (Pete) of Greenville, SC; three sisters: Frances Thompson (Ronnie) of East Peoria, IL, Janie Turner of Springfield, IL, and Geraldine Danielson of Fort Worth, TX; three granddaughters: Olivia and Paige Whitt and Ella Chilcote; great-grandson, Malakai; nieces and nephews: Michelle, Barbara Jo, Pam, Lynn, Bobby, Barbara, Laura, David, Sharon, Jennifer, Stephanie and Tina; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, C.W. Turner and his wife, Dot; sister, Jo Ann Matthews and her husband, Dan; and sister, Peggy Braddock and her husband Bob.
