Donald Sampson Obituary

Donald Lee Sampson SUMMERVILLE - Donald Lee Sampson, 84, of Summerville SC, husband of Mary Elizabeth Anderson Sampson, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at a Charleston area hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday evening, May 1, 2015 at PARKS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at 6 o'clock. Visitation will be from 5 o'clock until the time of service. Burial will be private. Mr. Sampson was born May 15, 1930 in Akron, OH, a son of Ira Sampson and Kathleen Osterdock Sampson. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was employed by Haliburton Company for forty years where he was a district manager. Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Anderson Sampson of Summerville; three daughters, Diana Gail Sampson of Moncks Corner, Laura Lewis (Cornell Cary) of Summerville, Connie Violi (Rodney) of Indiana, PA; eight grandchildren, Jason Strickland, Courtney Violi, Kristy Violi, Dawn Trace, Samuel Hormell, Benjamin Hormell, Lisa De Los Santos and Marc Lewis; seven great-granddaughters, Kayla, Izabella, Iliana, Natalia, Bella, Aislyn and Emma; one sister, Evelyn Stanford of MS. He was predeceased by one brother and one great-grandson.
