Donald Pettigrew Obituary

Donald Wayne Pettigrew, Sr. CHARLESTON - Donald Wayne Pettigrew, Sr. slipped into eternal rest on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 6:00 pm. He was a devoted husband, father, avid fisherman and great friend to all who knew him. He was an accomplished guitarist, skilled craftsman, great cook, and a strong believer in family. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Hellen W. Pettigrew; his two youngest sons, Mike Pettigrew of Columbia, SC and Quincy Pettigrew of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Jane Pruitt Pettigrew of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two brothers, Carl Douglas Pettigrew of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Bill Pettigrew of China Grove, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Erin, Josh, Justin and Alec. He had the assistance in crossing over by his eldest son, Donald W. Pettigrew, Jr. He will be sorely missed by all whose lives he has touched. Services were held at his home in Charleston on Saturday, February 12th with his many friends and family.
