Donald Hutchinson Obituary

Donald Hutchinson Summerville - Donald L. Hutchinson, 62, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Known to most as Hutch, he was born on October 15, 1959, to Ronald & Rosie (Hubbell) Hutchinson in Georgetown, Ohio. Although he considered Cincinnati home, he left shortly after high school to be a merchant mariner off the Gulf Coast. He spent many years as a tug boat engineer before settling down in Charleston. Hutch went to work for Mobil Chemical, which later became Lanxess, and spent over 37 years as a chemical operator. He was married to Tonya Cravens Hutchinson until her untimely passing in 2009. Later, he married Lisa Box and together, they loved watching the Bengals and the Reds play. Above all, Hutch dearly loved his family and friends with all of his heart. Hutch will be dearly missed by his loving wife and soulmate, Lisa Box; his son, Kyle (Becky) Hutchinson; his granddaughter, Calleigh Toth; his brother, Wayne (Betty) Hutchinson; as well as his parents, many extended family members, and close friends that are too numerous to list by name. Hutch is reunited in Heaven with Tonya and their son, Tim Hutchinson, his daughter, Thayer Hutchinson; his siblings, Kim and Brian, and several canine companions. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Parks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Hutch's honor to your local animal shelter.
