We moved to Charleston in August of 1983 and Don has been a great friend ever since. Always a smile and a heart of gold. Don was a wealth of information and was a blessing to us throughout our stay in Charleston. Playing Charlie Brown at the church play was an early memory. Helping us moving into a house from our apartment with RoseMarie days away from delivery of Rachel. Then there was the Starlight Pops and the Dock Street Theater. Bobby, I remember playing basketball with during the week at the church building on Sam Rittenberg. Good memories.
This memory is 4 months late. Don and I would talk occasionally. I texted him a Christmas photo that was not delivered. I tried to call in January and February with no answer. The thought occurred to me, perhaps he is ill. When I had no luck today calling him, I thought to check the obituary. To my surprise, I learned of his passing. "The Dash" between 1952 and 2019 brought blessings to many people through Don Hagan.

The Hagen family, my condolences on the loss of Donald. One of his passions he shared with me--sailing. In a vision of mine, he is sailing to all points in the hereafter. Donald, a southern gentleman.

The Hagen family, my condolences on the loss of Donald. He contacted me three years ago. We reminisced growing up on James Island and in Charleston. One passion he shared--sailing. In a vision of mine he is sailing to all points in the hereafter. Donald, a southern gentleman.

As long as I has know Don, He has been a good friend . I think about the memories of him. He has volunteer to take me and two sister missionary to the festival of lights. I were always happy to see him in church. all though our ward split up. and we weren't in the same ward anymore. I would see him as he sit in the back of the congregation room. next to the door. Pasting out announcements before sacrament. waving at each other with a smile. I never had deep conversation with him. I were always happy to see his smiling face. Rest in peace Don. You will always be missed by those who known you and loved you.

We are richer for having known him and are so sorry for your loss. Jesus came to bind up the broken hearted. He promises to comfort those who mourn. Love, Denton and Susan
