Dear Buckner Family,
Granddad was a good man with such a big heart. He always had a kind word to say or a piece of advice to share. He was our pillar on Goat Island and he will sorely be missed. Draw strenth on your strong family bonds that Donald and Myrtle nourished and know that they loved you very much. Our thoughts are with you.

I did not know Mr. Buckner that well, but the time i spent with him at the hospital he was a very sweet, kind, and full of spirit. God will never put anything on you that you could not bear. Just remember all the good times you spent with him. May god be with you in your time of breavement. (7 buxton)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I grew up on John's Island , and I remember your daddy as being such a gentle man, unfailingly kind and always choosing to do the right thing. He will be missed.

My dear Mary Claire, Jean, Donna, & Eddie,
Mr. Buckner will be sorely missed. Please find comfort in knowing he is with your mother in heaven, and they are present with Our Lord Jesus. He could not be in better hands. Your dad was a gentile, kind man and always a friend to those in need.
You know after hurricane Hugo, I was saved by one of those little Gideon Bibles. I am still amazed that Jesus loves us so much that He died for us.
My prayer for all of you is for His peace to surround and comfort you during this time.

Mr. Buckner will be sadly missed. He was truly a wonderful spirit and one of a kind person. On behalf of the Carolina Lady Anglers we offer our condolences and will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Your father will be missed by Allen and myself especially when we are doing yard work. He would always reinforce the job we did by saying it was looking good. Allen and he would often get into lengthy conversion about whatever. Sometimes your father would help us rake as we talked. Words can not explain how much your father will be missed. Especially by Allen.

He had a constant smile and stories to tell at all our lodge meetings and was a charter member also of fort sumter lodge 1. Sadly will be missed by all here. It was an honor knowing your father. He was truly a southern gentleman and will be greatly missed. Have comfort in knowing that God called your dad home to be with your mama.
