Don. Rivers Obituary

My condolesence is to Mr. Don Rivers families. Do not ponder on the last moments of Don, but remember the great times with him throughout his life. My prayers is for the families to go thru the rough days and later rejoice of him forever.

May the love of our Savior, friends and family comfort you and carry you through your grief.

We were so sorry to hear about the loss of Don. May the wonderful memories of him sweeten the loss you are feeling during this difficult time in your lives. We have been a customer of his since 1998 on Kiawah Island and felt a real connection to him

My heart goes out to my cousin Don's family on his mother and father's side. My heart especially goes out to Auntie Sister, Almeta, his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, friends, church family, and colleagues. When I got the phone call about my cousin Don I felt like screaming and hollering like I didn't want to stop. That's how deep the hurt goes in my heart. I felt like I lost an anchor, we have lost an anchor because he is a loving and caring person. Don was always there for his family and anyone else who needed him. He would have helped anyone. To my cousin Don, there was no such thing as a stranger. I will miss him dearly but I know God is real. God is a good God; He takes care of all of his children and Don is His. Don, we all love you. It was a pleasure to have known and worked with Captain Rivers for many years at St. Johns-Fire Rescue. He was indeed an asset to the fire service. His radiant smile and captivating personality touched those around him. To Shone my deepest gratitude is extended to you.

Almeta, Trice, & Dominique continue to be anchored in the Lord, feast upon his Word, and never lose sight of his direction. Hold to Captain Rivers memories as you face tomorrow while celebrating a life well lived.

I met Mr. Rivers in June of 2000. He took care of our landscape needs. I thought of him as a friend. He was a man of his word with me and a really nice man. I will miss seeing his smiling face and our frequent conversations about life and the world's circumstances. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.
