Don Grant Obituary

Don Morrison Grant

Don Morrison Grant, 29, died tragically on his birthday, September 6, 2011 in a hiking accident on Mt. Pilchuck. Don was born in 1982 to Gayla Jean and Robert Lee Grant, as the youngest of three sons, in Helena, MT.
In 1986, the Grant family moved to the great state of Washington, where Don attended school in Marysville, WA, concurrently graduating in 2000 from Marysville Pilchuck High School and Everett Community College.
An avid skateboarder and creative entrepreneur, Don founded Fucko Skateboards a company designing and producing custom skateboards. Following several years working in the mortgage lending industry, Don continued his studies at Western Washington University, studying Business Finance. During his time at Western, Don met his future wife, Teegan Diamond, traveling to Ireland several times in an effort to win her affection. In December 2010, Don married Teegan in her home town of Sydney, Australia. Following the wedding, Don and Teegan were apart as immigration formalities were finalized. Don died only weeks before they were able to reunite.
Don is survived by his wife, Teegan Diamond; his father, Robert Grant; his brothers, Ralph and Christopher Grant; his mother and father-in-law, Peter and Deborah Diamond; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Sheay, Paige, Laen and Keehan.
A memorial service will be held at the Free Methodist Church, Marysville, WA on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to cover memorial services can be made to http://www.gofundme.com/7wmig.
