Dolores Jean Rothermund MT. PLEASANT - Dolores Jean Rothermund, 78, wife of Charles Edward "Mike" Rothermund of Mount Pleasant, SC died peacefully Monday, March 22, 2010, at her home. Delores was born March 6, 1932, in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of Wesley and Virginia Schubert. After graduating from Wheeling High School she married her husband of 59 years, Mike. Delores cherished her life as a wife and homemaker and enjoyed gardening, bridge, golf, bowling, walks on the beach, and traveling, especially with her children and grandchildren. Dolores will be deeply missed by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Sherre Burlingham and her husband Will of Folly Beach, SC; her granddaughters Britteny Burlingham of Warrenton, VA and Chrissy Rothermund of Greensburg, PA; and her grandson, Michael Rothermund and his wife Tara of N. Huntington, PA. She was predeceased by her son Michael Rothermund and her grandson Wesley Burlingham. There will be a Visitation with family and friends, 2:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2010, at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464: 843-884-3833. After the service, family and friends are invited to a reception at the Rodenberg Chapel at Franke at Seaside.
