Dolly Gordon Obituary

GORDON, Dolly Dolly Coleman Gordon, 69, of Moncks Corner, SC, a former cashier for Food Lion, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 11:00 AM this Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, 2006, in the Gethsemane Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 1446 State Rd., Summerville, SC 29483. Mrs. Gordon was born May 11, 1937, in Buchanan, Virginia, a daughter of Wallace Coleman and Ida Coleman. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Surviving are, her husband, James O. Jim Gordon; a daughter, Susanne G. Smith and her husband, Rick, of Surfside Beach; a son, James O. Gordon, Jr., and his wife, Kim, of Linden, Michigan; two sisters, Oma Slone of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Virginia Justice of Fenton, Michigan; three brothers, Lloyd Coleman and Wallace Coleman both of Hurley, VA, and Ted Coleman of Fenton, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Taylor Gordon, Brandon Smith, Devinne Gordon, Madison Smith, Emily Smith, and Rylee Gordon.
