Dollie Caulder Obituary



CAULDER, Dollie Mrs. Dollie Caulder, age 83, of Charleston, beloved wife of the late Joseph Caulder, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in Virginia. Friends and family of Dollie are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 am at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening, March 28, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Dollie's family looks forward to seeing all of the relatives and friends at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Caulder Thompson of Alexandria, VA, Tanya Caulder Slack of Austin, TX; sons, Evans Caulder, and his wife JoAnna of Georgetown, SC and David Caulder, and his wife Winkie of Ravenel, SC; eleven grandchildren, Sharon Guthrie, Wayne Guthrie, Michele Slack Madjek, Bambi and Larry Caulder Jr., Angel Caulder, Melissa Caulder, April Caulder, Ricky Caulder, Fonda Jordan and Jamie Pye; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Isabell Moore of Dillion, SC, one nephew, Ronnie Hyatt; and her faithful companion of many years, her dog, Sam. Dollie was preceded in death by her husband, the late Joseph Caulder, and by one son, the late Larry Caulder. Dollie spent most of her adult life in Charleston, but she grew up in Dillion, SC where a lot of her family still lives. She has lived in Alexandria, VA with her daughter, Peggy Thompson for the last eight years. She worked at the American Tobacco Company and the Charleston Manufacturing Company. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 'We love you, Dollie!'
