Dianne Cone Obituary

Dianne Daniels Cone WALTERBORO - Mrs. Dianne Daniels Cone, wife of William Harry Cone, Jr., passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at her home in Walterboro, surrounded by her family and friends. She was 77. Mrs. Cone was born March 22, 1935, in Raleigh, NC, the daughter of the late J. Earle Daniels and Clara Prosser Daniels. She graduated from Walterboro High School and later married William Harry Cone Jr. in Charleston in 1953. She was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she spent many years helping with the nursery and Bible school. She was an avid bridge player, an incredible homemaker, outstanding cook, past member and president of the Pink Star Garden Club and was a devoted mother and wife. With abandon, Dianne loved God, her family and her friends. Her smile, laughter and beautiful spirit will be missed by those who loved her. In addition to her husband of 59 years, Dianne is survived by her son, William H. "Bill" Cone, III, of Walterboro and by her daughter, Dana Cone Moorer, and husband Thomas C. Moorer Jr of Mount Pleasant. There are two sisters, Clarice D. "Rusty" Riddle and Bebe D. Kemp, both of Walterboro, a brother-in-law George W. Cone of Walterboro, and a sister-in-law Dianne Cone Ziegler, of Bluffton as well as an extended family on both sides who adored her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home in Walterboro with Reverend Dr. Theron W. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Friday at the funeral home and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 355 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC 29488, or a charity close to one's own heart.
