Diane Towle Obituary

Diane D. (Leon) Towle, age 80, of Foxborough, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, after a brave battle with dementia. She was surrounded by her loving family as she passed into eternity.

Born in Boston, MA on April 10, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Forest F. and Dorothy (Braman) Leon.

Diane leaves behind her beloved husband Richard E. Towle, Sr. as well as two daughters Cheryl Ficarra of N. Smithfield, RI and Lisa Snow of Taunton, MA; a son Richard Towle, Jr. and his wife Melanie of Norton, MA; her brother Bruce Leon who predeceased her, two sisters Carla Morasch of Crestview, FL, and Deborah Leon of Holden, ME; and five grandchildren Matthew Ficarra, Steven Snow, Brittney Snow, Timothy Towle and Anna Towle. In addition, Diane had several nieces and nephews.

Diane will be remembered as a loving, strong, independent woman who always spoke her mind. She most enjoyed her time as a waitress at Bickford's, but also worked for the IBEW Local 103, and the Hockomock YMCA.

Diane's family would like to especially thank the staff from Old Colony Hospice in West Bridgewater for all the exceptional care and kindness shown to Diane and her family.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 5th from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.

A brief prayer service will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours on Saturday at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Diane's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
