It's like this "At times like these.... it is only GOD who can speak the words that calm the sea, still the winds, and ease the pain. So lean on Him and you will never walk alone. Trusting that the Lord will be very close to you all now, and hoping it comforts you to know that your loved one is safe in his arms, which is the love of God.
The Dewey that I knew was a very caring loving helpful in many ways going out of his way to make it right for someone else. He would always take the time to listen to you and take the time to talk with you, he always had the time. So I said that to say this " I am more than sure that Dewey made a difference in many lives. I know he made a big difference in mine. I love you and will alsways remmber you.

Although Dewey was small in stature he was a giant among men. His imprint will forever be on so many lives. Through the years I became a fixture in the Huger household, so I feel the lost. My prayers is that God will foever keep you close as a family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dewey, but he has left a legacy that I know his family is proud of. May God's Mercy, His Peace, and His Love, be yours in abundance, this day and always. Dewey when you came into the Post office last week and tapped on my counter twice after serving you with that "SMILE" I didn't know that it was the last time I would see you. I have been a part of this family for such a long time, as classmate and a friend. We are both greiving the loss of a wonderful person Dewey. It was just a few weeks ago that your family comforted me and my family in a tragic death, now I offer you words of comfort. Keep your hands in God unchanging hand for he will always be there.
Dewey, Sallie, Leon (my brother) and I have been classmates and friends for over forty years. Dewey was chairperson of our twenty year Laing High School Class of 1968 reunion, on our twenty-fifth reunion cruise Dewey and Josephine were married. In 2008 we celebrate our fortieth reunion, we were making plans for a 2010 celebration, but God had a special plan for Dewey.
We the classmates will miss his bright smile and his contribution he has made to Laing High School Class of 1968 Reunion Committe. I know you are smiling from heaven with our other classmates, especially James and Ernest.
I visited Dewey Sunday at Roper Hospital. I prayed for him, whereas he was already on his way home.

We celebrate the death of a man.
A man, not complicated or hard to understand.
