To Angela and The Shaw Family
I am very sorry to hear of the death of your borther. I did not know him but after working with you these past two years I am sure that he was a very kind and very well liked person as you are. My prayers are with you and your family and remember always that you are loved.

I just recently learned about Desmond passing away. I know it's really late, however I wanted to express my condolences for his loss. My memory is somewhat damaged and so I have a hard time remembering a lot of things, but I knew Des since HE Corley. I had some interactions with him at Dutch Fork High, but we were never in the same class so we kinda grew apart. I do remember that all my times with him were happy ones, wither we were talking about Star Trek, or some games, or some other stuff, he was always up beat and he was someone that you could easily get along with. Although I wont be able to see him for a while, I know a time will come were all of his friends and family will be able to see him again. Sorry if this is a ramble, but although I can't remember everything, I do know that he touched my life in a special way, and I wish the family well during this time. My prayers go out to you all.

Desmond, I cannot say how much I will miss you. You were always there for me, I can remember how much fun we used to have together. You loved music so much and it shined through you. I learned so much from you, and I regret never being able to tell you that. My life is better for having known you. I will see you again, and your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Desmond through my children mostly through the DFHS Marching Band. I remember a very quiet, very mannerly, solid young man. My heart aches for your family and you will remain in my prayers. I am so glad to have had what exposure I did to Desmond. I will always think of him with the very fond memories that I do have of the time we were all part of the DFHS band and know that we will all see him again. That will be a good day.

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Desmond throughout high school. We grew up together in those four years through band, school, and life. It saddens me that he is gone, but I will always remember his kind smile.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm sorry I was out of town for the visitation and the service for Desmond. We will miss seeing him at the auction house. He came to my rescue with my computer so many times, and I appreciated his kindness and his knowledge. God bless you in your grief.

I will always remember Desmond and how seriously he always took his role in band in high school. He was always a kind person and I am glad that I had the opportunity to know him. To his family, my prayers are with you...and I hope you can take comfort knowing that the word was a better place for having had your son live in it. God bless.

To the Shaw Family:
I had the pleasure of knowing Desmond since sixth grade. We were in band together through middle and high school, and graduated together as well. He was such a wonderful and genuinely kind person, and I will truly miss him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I saw you that morning, when you came in to the store. You seem to be in the moment. That smile and friendly way about you. I wanted to talk to you, but next time I will. I didn't know that the next time would never be. How sad that I missed out on such a wonderful person.
Lord, take good care of him, until I have that chance again.
