Pat, I am so sorry for your loss. Dennis made a substantial difference in many lives and I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with both of you over the years.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dennis. He helped me finish my PhD and for that I will be eternally grateful. Dennis could sometimes be a bit gruff, but he had a kind spirit and a heart of gold. He cared about those for whom he was responsible and he always wanted the best for them and out of them as a good mentor does. I will be at the memorial service.

I am so sorry to hear about Dennis. Words can't express how saddened I am. May the memory of Dennis bring Pat and the family comfort and peace.
Dennis was a great friend of mine I remember we used to go for run /jog during our lunch a few times every week when we worked at NCI in Fort Detrick Frederick, Maryland. During our run we would talk about life as well as science, research collaborations and make plans for the next scientific conferences that we should attend. It was a memorable time that also led to many of future research collaborations and scientific papers we co-authored after Dennis moved to Charleston and I went to Toronto. Among many conferences one of the meetings that we went to was in Cairo Egypt in 2000 see attached photos.
I will miss him very much.
