Dennis Singleton Obituary

Dennis M. Singleton AUGUSTA, GA - Funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Dennis M. Singleton, 50, formerly of Augusta, GA, will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 623 Crawford Ave., Augusta Georgia at 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at the Walker Memorial Park in Augusta, GA. He departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2011. He was the beloved son of the late Mr. James Singleton and the late Mrs. Eleanora Evans Singleton. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy before settling down in San Jose, CA where he worked for Applied Materials as a Process Engineer. Mr. Singleton graduated from Boggs Academy in Keysville, GA and Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA, where he received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the The Palmetto Memorial Chapel, 1122 Morrison Drive, Charleston, SC 29403. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Jenell Clemons Singleton of San Jose, CA; brother, Mr. James Singleton, Jr. (LaVonne Annette) of Augusta, GA; loving grandmother, Mrs. Geneva Evans of Mount Pleasant, SC; a devoted paternal aunt, Mrs. Ethelyn Singleton of James Island, SC; two devoted maternal aunts, Ms. Astocha M. Evans of Daniel Island, SC and Mrs. Ruby E. Santos-DeJesus (Ernesto) of Clinton, MD; a devoted cousin, Mrs. Peggy Jenkins Capers (James) of Moncks Corner, SC ; an uncle, Mr. Leroy Evans, Jr. (Julie) of Houston, TX and aunts: Mrs. Vernell Jenkins of Mount Pleasant, SC, Mrs. Marguerite Grimes of Charleston, SC and Ms. Evelyn Evans of Mount Pleasant, SC. In addition, Mr. Singleton leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A memorial message may be sent to the family at www.palmettomortuary.com.
