Dennis Wayne Rector Summerville - Dennis Wayne Rector, 63, of Summerville, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Roper Hospital, Charleston, of complications from COVID. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 1 o'clock at Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. Burial will be at Summerville Cemetery at a later date. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. Dennis was born on March 30, 1958, in Honolulu, Hawaii, son of Bobby G. Rector and Peggy JoAnn Price Rector of Summerville. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, loved spending time with his family and friends. Dennis retired after 43 years from Dupont/Dak Americas. He was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church and always loved helping others. He will be sorely missed and loved by all who knew him. Survivors in addition to his parents are: two brothers: Tommy Rector (Cheryl) of Wilmington, NC, and Eric Rector (Nancy) of Summerville, SC; nieces and nephews: Tiffany Anderson (Jason), Danielle Rector, Jeremy Rector, Ashley Cumbee (Greg), Christopher Rector (Adrienne), Tonya Svensson (Eric), and Hanna Robbins (Micah); several great nieces and nephews; and close friend, Janet Hill of Summerville, SC.
