Dennis Kreighbaum Obituary

KREIGHBAUM, Dennis CANADYS - Mr. Dennis Harmon Kreighbaum, 65, of 14073 Augusta Highway, Canadys, died Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2005, at his residence. A memorial service will be held 4 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2005, in The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Walterboro, with Reverend Lawrence Cook officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock. Mr. Kreighbaum was born September 23, 1939, in Michigan City, Indiana, and was a son of the late Roy Kreighbaum and Ferne Harmon Heider. He was a retired painter having worked for Cook Painting Contractors, Gallagher Painting Contractors, and last for his self. He will be remembered by his love of playing his guitar, fishing and wood crafting. Surviving are: his wife, Reverend Ann Long Krieghbaum; two sons, Dennis W. Kreighbaum and William S. Kreigbaum both of Walterboro; two daughters, Terri A. Gallagher and Beth M. Tolliver both of Walterbro; a brother, Troy Heider, Jr., of Michigan City, Indiana; three sisters, Bonnie Refetar, Vicky Kunkel, and Ferne Heider all of Michigan City, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy B. Kreighbaum and a sister, Darlene Kreighbaum. The family has requested no flowers be sent, instead that memorial contributions are directed in his memory to: Palmetto Health Hospice, Post Office Box 7275, Columbia, SC 29202-9649.
