Dennis G. Eischeid DANIEL ISLAND - Dennis G. Eischeid of Daniel Island, SC, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022. Dennis was born in 1934 to Frank and Frances Eischeid in Halbur, Iowa. "Denny" grew up on their family farm with his five brothers and one sister where they learned the values of hard work, integrity, family and faith. Denny met the love of his life, "Sweet Lois," at a high school dance in Carroll, Iowa, and they were married for over 66 years. Their adventures took them from state to state as he moved through the ranks of the insurance world, celebrating over 45 years of service with Mutual of Omaha. Most of those years were on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, where Denny established endearing friendships and generously gave back to his community in many roles ranging from t-ball coach to Vice Mayor and Police/Fire Commissioner. Nothing was more important to Denny (aka Dad, Peepaw, PopPop and Grandpa) than his faith in the Lord, his friends and his family. At their 25th wedding anniversary, Denny said, "Lois, we've been blessed six times. You blessed me with Jeff, Keith, Lori, Jill, Todd and David." His biggest joy was watching his family grow. The immediate family includes the following additional blessings: Loren, Melanie, Nolan, Wyatt, Piper, Kelly, Will, Ann, Brian, Jillian, Elle, Caroline, Thomas, Kate, Emily, Andrew, Katie, Stephen, Amy, Ted, Rachel, Emily, Ben, Adrienne, Elliott, Frances, Anna, Dennison, and Lillian. However, his broader surviving family also includes over 120 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, not to mention his brother and sisters-in-law. Denny was famous for saying, "The beauty of a family." We celebrate as Denny has been raised up in Glory and now Jesus leads him through the streets of Heaven and the gathered people of God are cheering his welcome. A private, family Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of the Holy Cross, Daniel Island, with Father Gregory West, pastor of Saint Clare of Assisi Catholic Church on Daniel Island as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Angels Forever Inc., a fund established to preserve Denny and Lois' home church in Iowa (Attn: Jerry Rupiper, 19379 235th Street, Carroll, Iowa 51401) or a
charity of your choice. "Follow your dreams." Visit our guestbook at
