DERROG, Dennis Dennis J. Derrig, 64, of Summerville, husband of Nancy Hensley Derrig died Thursday afternoon, May 31, 2007 at his residence. Graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 1 o'clock at Summerville Cemetery. Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 10 o'clock until 12 o'clock on Sunday. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be sent to 109 Rosa Street, Summerville, South Carolina 29483. Mr. Derrig was born September 19, 1942 in Sayre, Pennsylvania, son of the late Martin James Derrig and Mary Mastertanio Derrig. He was a graduate of Sayre High School, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW. After serving 25 years in the Navy he was a woodworker and a painter. Surviving in addition to his wife are: sons and daughters, Freddy Lee Davis of Cullman, AL, Debi Sue Register of Leesburg, GA, Karl David Davis of Charleston, Lori Fisk of Sayre, PA; grandchildren, Misti Condron of Leesburg, GA, Cory Davis of Summerville, T. Nicholas Phillips of Owensboro, KY and 6 other grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren, various nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters, Marie Jones of Canandaigua, NY, Carol Chandler of Sayre, PA, Mary Brennen of Athens, PA, David Derrig and Danny Derrig both of Sayre, PA.
