Delores Way Obituary

Delores Taylor Way HARLEYVILLE, SC - Delores Taylor Way, 84, widow of Bobby Way, of Harleyville, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 19, 2023. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Harleyville with Pastor Jamie Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in the Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Everett Dantzler, Joey Dantzler, Kevin Taylor, Stephen Taylor, Kerry Hill and Blaine Fineran. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Delores was born on September 21, 1938, a daughter of the late Loundes Birdieth and Annie Mae Thomas Taylor. She was a graduate of Harleyville Ridgeville and was retired from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Center. She was a pianist and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Harleyville. She was predeceased by siblings, David Lyn Taylor and L.B. Taylor, Jr. Surviving is her daughter, Vickie (Matthew) Fineran; two sisters, Marie (Charles) Dantzler and Loretta Hill; three grandchildren, Blaine Fineran, Brittany (Paul) Skelcher and Haven (Brandon) Herndon; great-grandchildren, Izabella Skelcher, Eliza Skelcher, Finley Skelcher, Ruby Skelcher, Matthew Herndon and Grant Herndon; special niece, Melanie Brown. I remember Delores as being a very kind and compassionate person. She was soft spoken and poised. She was a talented pianist. As she passed through this world, she left it a better place.
