Kristen and family,



I would like to offer my condolences on the loss of your mother, wife, sister,and friend. I have very fond memories of your mother from our middle school days. She was always a delightful person to be around. I am sure that she is extremely proud of each of you and I know that she will be sadly missed. God bless each of you at this difficult time.

Kendra...I will always have fond memories of the time I spent with you and your Mother in Palm Desert/Springs, CA. She said to me...We both live in Charleston, and I had to come all the way to California to bump into you. It was a blast shopping, and sharing a meal with the two of you. Hanging with her at the pool was another highlight of that trip. To you, your sisters, and your father...I have been blessed to have known her in this life. My prayers and love go out to you all.

I was so sorry about your loss of Mrs. Delores. I was one of the physicians who worked with Mrs. Delores. She always brought a smile into the room and left lots of love around. Although you do not know many of us, we know all of you. She delighted in telling us about her family, especially her girls. Delores was such a loving and pleasant person, a jewel in the crown of life. I worked with her many years ago and she has always been so kind. Whenever I would see her, she was always the same. A wonderful person to know. Be blessed in the Lord and share in the joy of her memory.

While conversing at the hairdresser, I found out that I knew several members of Mrs. Kirkland's family (Kendra - from school and we have mutual friends; Kentrena - we worked together; Jimmy - is a good friend of my father). From that day on I looked forward to running into her there. Her words of wisdom were very encouraging and she always had an interesting story to tell. She will be missed but not forgotten. Though we may not understand why - God knows it was her time. Be blessed and stay strong.

I was in disbelief when my mother told me about Ms. Deloris. I have always found her to be the picture of health, with a wonderful personality and such a warm and giving spirit. She was selfless and loving. I will never forget her.



During the aftermath of my father's death, Ms. Deloris came by the house daily to care for us and maintain order. She even went out of her way to make sure my daughters had the appropriate attire for the funeral. I will never forget that. But that is the kind of person she was.



Kendra, Ketrena, and Kristin: I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but please know that I am here for you and I will be praying for you. I understand what you are going through. Through prayer, God can be your comforter and give you peace.



Mr. Richard, hold on to God's hand for strength and continue to bless Him for allowing you to share life with such a beautiful person. I believe we are all blessed for just knowing her.



It is my prayer that God will keep you in perfect peace. We shall all see Ms. Deloris and her smile again - someday. I love you all.

I knew Deloris from her many years at MUSC and always loved to see her sweet smile. She was so wonderful with the adolescent pregnant teens. She was one of my first patients when I started Home Health and it pained me to see her demise. In fact, I had a picture of her from August in the Nursing Alumni Magazine, but the last day I saw her, I didn't have it with me to give her. I am glad she is at peace now with our maker.
