Delma Bethera Mattox Hair N. CHARLESTON - Delma Bethera Mattox Hair, affectionately known as Ma, 73, of North Charleston, SC, wife of Herbert Gaston Hair, died Sunday, March 2, 2014. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road. Ma was born June 13, 1940 in Britton's Neck, SC, daughter of the late Delma Mattox and the late Ola Mae Hucks Mattox. Camping, fishing and collecting miniature clocks were her hobbies and she enjoyed making photo albums of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Herbert G. Hair; sons, David K. Hair and his wife Robin of Sarasota, FL and Robert W. Hair of North Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Logan Hair, Paul Hair, Stephen Hair, Scott Hair and Holly Hair; sister, Agnes "Beena" Gaget of North Charleston, SC; brother, Thomas Harvey Mattox and his wife Georgeann of Goose Creek, SC; nieces and nephew, D.J. Koerner and her husband Adam, Tommy Mattox and Sissy Mattox all of North Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph Hucks; brother-in-law, Steve Gaget.
