Debbie Powell Obituary

POWELL, Debbie WALTERBORO Mrs. Debbie Ruth Powell, 58, of 879 Smoak Road, Walterboro, died Sunday afternoon, February 3, 2008, at her residence. She was the widow of the late Mr. James Thomas Powell. Funeral services will be held 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, February 12, 2008, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro with The Reverend Daniel Cooper officiating. Mrs. Powell was born February 5, 1949, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Robert Alcorn and the late Doris Ruth Lane. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was a certified medical coder with Charleston Bone and Joint. She was a member of Living Word Outreach Ministries in Walterboro and will be remembered for her love of family gatherings with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are SPC Michael Manar, Army National Guard, and his wife Marietta of Charleston; a daughter, Tammi Weber and her companion Lewis Lail of Walterboro; and a former son-in-law, Troy Gregory of Walterboro. There are three grandchildren, Daniel Weber, Christopher Weber and James Manar; as well as three great grandchildren, Jacob Weber, Cheyenne Weber, and Roger Weber.
