Dean, Chris and Amanda, I am again so saddened to see this news about your father. He was an amazing man to have fathered the three of you. You will carry on all of his most endearing qualities. If you're in town, let me know. I would love to see you.

Dean was a fine Special Agent and a great guy. He was well liked and respected by all of us who worked together at the old U. S. Customs Service, United States Custom House, Charleston, SC. Sorry to hear of his passing; prayers to his family in this difficult time.

I worked at U.S. Customs in Charleston with Dean. Dean always had a smile on his face and always had a positive attitude. I will forever have fond memories of Dean. We never had any leftovers that Dean did not like and willingly ate! He was truly a special special agent. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of us who loved our friend and coworker. May God give his family the strength to face the future without him.

I had the pleasure of working with Dean as a young Customs Agent. On hearing of his passing, my very first memory was seeing his smiling face, always smiling. He was a good man, a good cop and a fine Southern gentleman. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to know him.
