Dean Carter Obituary

Dean Carter WALTERBORO - Mr. Dean LeBruce Carter, 89, of Walterboro, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at UniHealth Post Acute Care of Walterboro. He was the husband of the late Vivian Spottiswoode Carter. Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Walterboro. Interment will follow in Pleasant Gove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Carter was born May 30, 1923 in Walterboro and was a son of the late Herbert Alexander Carter and Lucille Carter Carter. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard and was a retired Radio Technician from the City of Columbia. He was a gun enthusiast and also enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. Surviving are: his children, Heather Marshall of Walterboro and Roland Carter of Larne, Northern Ireland; brothers, Fred Carter of Walterboro and Ray Carter of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Melanie Sian Marshall, Keith Damion Marshall and Aurelia Annat; and great grandchildren, Laila Vivian Moore, William Annat and Jeanie Annat. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Lee Craven and Betty Lou Kohl; and a brother, Lester Carter. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 at THE BRICE W.
