I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was truly a wonderful, kind man. I met David when he wrote the incorporation papers for my business. We would run into each other at various functions throughout the years. He was always so kind. David always mentioned his wonderful wife and children. It was a blessing to see someone so in love with his family.

We are devastated to learn today of David’s sudden passing. He was a friend, a counselor, a guiding light through the treacherous shoals of 21st century financial life. When he invited you into his office, he would always take a few minutes to chat with you, ask about how you’re doing, how the kids are getting along, etc. I’m not surprised to learn from the obit that he did pro bono work; that’s just the kind of guy he was. His only fault may have been to prefer old Mustangs to old Camaros. You don’t meet many people like David as you pass thru this life, and it does seem that as Dion reminded us in song some years ago, the good die young. We will miss you, David, but you won’t be forgotten.

8/26/14- Georgetown trip!

Mom and David spent 14+ wonderful years together. Their love for each other was undeniable. I will always cherish the time I was fortunate to spend with David cruising on the lake, soaking up the sun on the beach, and sharing numerous bike rides hunting for sea treasures. These memories will live on in my heart forever.

David, thank you for always saying thank you, always being patient, always having a smile on your face, but mostly, going over and beyond the role of boss to become my friend over the years, when you really didn’t have to. We really did make a great team, didn’t we?
Kim, William, Daniel & Ann, I am at a loss for words but know I am always thinking about you and here to help anyway I can.

I was heartbroken to read of David's death in The State newspaper. My husband and I go way back with David, when he first began his practice in Columbia. He was so knowledgeable, and we trusted him 100%. Plus, he was such a nice guy - always friendly and upbeat. We loved going to his office on Stonehenge Drive, viewing his many collectibles, and catching up. On our last visit there a couple of years ago, he came into the office in shorts sporting a great tan and huge smile. He talked about Kiawah and how happy he was there. I will cherish that last image of him.

To paraphrase Winne the Pooh, "How lucky we were to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Bill and I send deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the family. What an amazing attorney and great man he was.
