David Porter MONCKS CORNER - Mr. David Lloyd Porter, 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his home in Moncks Corner. The relatives and friends of David Porter are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 21, 2023, at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 W. 1st North Street, Summerville, SC 29483. David was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on May 8, 1952. He was the son of Luther Porter and Kathleen Porter. He served in the United States Air Force from 1972 -1976 before receiving his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, spending the next 30 years serving in law enforcement. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice Austin Porter; brother, Charles Porter; his sons, Matthew Porter and Robert Porter (Dayna); his daughter, Jessica Tallon (Charles) and 8 grandchildren, Madilynn Porter, Kaelyn Brodish, Ryker Porter, Brayzen Porter, Madyson Tallon, AnnaBelle Tallon, Porter Tallon and McKenzie Ferguson. David is predeceased by his father, Luther James Porter; his mother, Kathleen Hudson Porter; his son, Adam Bruce Porter; his sisters, Barbara Ann and Linda Gayle Porter; his brothers, Hudson Porter, Luther Terrance Porter, Robert W. Porter and Joseph Lee Porter. David was a proud American Veteran who loved his Lord, family and country. Our loss is heavens gain.
