I met David my junior year at the C of C. I walked into class and asked him what we did in chemistry lab last week. He said, "I don't know man, I wasn't here either". We started talking and found out that we both surfed and a friendship was born. We bought our first boat together, shared and apartment, fished, partied, and dove together for the next 45 years. He will be missed by us and by the universe as a whole. But hopefully his memory will be of comfort to us all. Most especially, Pennie and his family.

I remember David fondly. I look back at his volunteering to teach fly tying at the Charleston Angler and the personal tips he gave me. Rest in Peace David.

When I think of David, I see his big smile and hear his hearty laugh. He was always a gentleman and made everyone feel at home. My heart is broken for you all. He will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him for even a short time. Love and Prayers.

I had the pleasure of knowing Dave and fishing with him. He help me with tying flies and fly casting. He loved fishing and was a pro at it. He will be missed by many.
