David H. Padgett, Jr. COLUMBIA, SC - Private services for David H. Padgett, Jr. were held yesterday at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo was in charge of the arrangements. David passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Born in Walterboro, SC, he was the son of the late David H. Padgett, Sr. and Lina Thompson Padgett. Surviving are his wife, Carole Burton Padgett of Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Scott Henderson of Columbia; daughter, Cynthia Carroll of Columbia; son and daughter-in-law, David H. Padgett III and Shirley of Goose Creek, SC; granddaughters, Samantha and Landry Padgett and Sarah Carroll; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Gerald Smoak of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nieces and a nephew.
